Kangaroo's Room
The Kangaroos room is currently our over 2’s room where we support children aged from 2-4 years (until they leave for school), from September 2025 it will be our 2-3 years room and our Pre-school room will open.
In Kangaroos we can provide care for 20 children per day, with a ratio of 1 staff member to 5 children and will often work on a lower ratio where possible to ensure we are able to provide over and above support for all children.
We provide children with a diverse range of activities based around the children’s interests and needs and ensure that these are differentiated to support both our toddlers and pre-school children meet the milestones for their age and stage of development. We tailor the activities to help ensure that we are supporting the 2-3 year olds with their growing independence, emergent literacy skills and their growing communication and social skills. We then ensure we are supporting the 3-4 year olds by extending their knowledge and ensuring they are ready for their next stage of learning when they leave us to go to school.
Each child will have their own key person, it's very important for the children to feel safe and secure so building a bond with their key person is very important!
Every day in Kangaroos is fun and exciting, we have many different learning opportunities for the children to engage in and explore.
