Koala's Room
Welcome to the Koalas room, where we care for babies from 6 months to 2 years. We care for up to 15 babies per day, with a ratio of 1 staff member to 3 babies, where possible we try to have an extra member of staff in each day.
Our experienced team provide attentive care and support throughout the children’s day to ensure all their care needs are met and they feel happy and contented.
We strive to offer a warm, friendly, safe and nurturing environment for your little ones to learn, flourish and to give them a sense of security and belonging.
We offer a wide range of age appropriate toys and resources for our babies to explore as well as lots of fun and exciting planned crafts and activities to enhance their development.
We have an amazing garden that we access daily for our babies to play and explore, as well as a smaller garden area designated just for our little ones that are not mobile. We have a large selection of play equipment as well as a great sand and water area for the babies to explore.
We work closely with parents and carers to ensure a smooth transition into nursery, we offer a stay and play session, where parents are invited to come in with the children to meet the staff, talk about their child’s routine, allergies/dietary requirements and get to know the children, we book in various settling sessions for the children until they are happy and confident to be left. We also like to come and visit you and your child at home to see them in their home environment and to build strong partnerships so your children feel safe and secure.
Every child is given a key person, who will work closely and build a strong bond with you and your child. We offer phone calls home after 6 weeks to talk about how your child has settled and discuss any worries or concerns.
We keep you informed about your child’s day via our online platform called BabysDays where you will receive regular updates of nappy changes, sleep, food and a picture every morning and afternoon.
