Pre-school

Our Pre-school room opened September 2025.

Our Pre-school room can provide care for up to 24 children per day, with a ratio of 1 staff member to 8 children however will provide more staff than needed where possible. We care for children aged 2 years and 9 months to 4 years in a space specially designed to support curiosity, creativity, and confidence. Every day is an adventure as we learn through play, explore new ideas, and build friendships in a safe and welcoming environment.

Here’s a little peek into our room:
The construction area is where imaginations soar and little hands get busy! Using blocks, Duplo, and other building materials, the children work together to be creative in a space for developing fine motor skills and teamwork.
In the home corner, children step into role-play, this space encourages social development, language skills, and empathy as children act out real-life experiences in a play-based setting.
Our book corner is a calm and inviting space where children can snuggle up with a story, either independently or with an adult. We rotate our books regularly to reflect children’s interests and seasonal themes. Story time is a treasured part of our day, helping to build listening skills.
Every day, we offer a hands-on craft activity related to our weekly theme or current interests. Whether it’s painting, gluing, cutting, or collaging, children get the chance to explore materials and express their creativity. We proudly display their artwork around the room.
Our Cosy Corner is a quiet space with cushions, soft toys, and calming colours where children can relax, reflect, or take a break if they’re feeling tired or overwhelmed. It helps support emotional regulation and self-care.
We enjoy healthy snacks together twice a day (once in the morning and again in the afternoon). This is a lovely opportunity to practise independence (like pouring drinks or peeling fruit) and table manners, while chatting with friends in a relaxed and social setting.

Everything we do is grounded by the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, encouraging children to learn through play. Our activities are carefully planned to support the seven areas of learning, including Communication and Language, Physical Development, and Personal, Social, and Emotional Development.
