It’s Children’s Mental Health Week (7th to 13th February 2022)
Talking to children about their feelings and mental health is important, but can often be challenging. This year the theme is around ‘Growing Together’ - encouraging children and adults to consider how they have grown and how they can help others grow. Our children’s mental health needs looking after and our children need supporting. Please regularly check your children are okay and encourage them to talk to you about any worries or concerns they have, no matter how trivial they may feel they are. They need to know we are here for them no matter what! For ideas on how to support children’s mental health please visit the following website: www.childrensmentalhealthweek.org.uk

Our first Saturday Morning Shooting Stars Play Session starts this Saturday!!!
From Saturday 29th January 2022, we will be running monthly Saturday morning play sessions on the last Saturday of the month for children 0-5yrs with additional needs. Our play sessions are open to children and families within the local community and run by staff volunteers from Home from Home Childcarers. Please see our poster below for further details. We are asking for help to support one of our team and her family.
Unfortunately over the Christmas period one of our lovely members of staff lost her home in a fire. Thankfully her and her children got out the house but they have lost everything and the damage to the home is going to take approximately a year to repair! Her eldest daughter has set up a gofundme page to help raise money to be able to help her mum and siblings to get the things they need when they move home. We are hoping to help raise as much money as possible to support this amazing member of staff and her family and would appreciate any support that is given xx Fundraiser by Nicole Catto : Family home has burnt down (gofundme.com) We would like to wish everyone Merry Christmas!
Thank you to all our families that have continued to support Home from Home Childcarers throughout the year. We hope you all have a lovely Christmas! Lots of love Linda, Zoe, Chrissie and the Home from Home Childcarers team xx We would like to say a huge Well Done to Chrissie and Rachel who have just completed their Level 4 Early Years Advanced Practitioner Course.
We are all very proud of you both!!! Huge congratulations go to 5 of our team who over the past week have achieved great GCSE and A-Level results.
Well Done Emily, Aimee, Holly, Sidnee and Albie, We are all very proud of your amazing achievements! We are looking for Level 2 and 3 Qualified Early Years Practitioners to join our expanding Nursery. Details attached below!
This morning we celebrated our children that are leaving us to start school in September. We were so glad that we were able to hold 2 small graduation ceremonies for all the children ensuring that we kept everyone safe. Some of the children have been with us since they were babies and some children have joined us more recently but all children and their families are and always will be part of our Home from Home Family. We will miss all the children but wish them the best of luck in the next stage of their adventure at big school! We would like to say a huge Congratulations to Megan for completing her Apprenticeship and officially becoming a Qualified Level 3 Early Years Practitioner!
Your Home from Home family are very proud of you! On the 12th April we officially opened our new building which is now our preschool/after school care. This building has provided us with a garden space that all the children in both buildings can use. We also opened our new Tigers room on the 12th April, which is home to an additional preschool room. All of our rooms have recently had a refresh and move around and we wanted to share our exciting new changes with you all! |
We will write any important information regarding the setting here; e.g. newsletters, events and if the setting is closed for a particular reason. Archives
